Manicure Types — What's What
A classic manicure is basic care: shortening and shaping the nails, cuticle work, hand hydration. With no polish or regular polish. Ideal as regular maintenance and preparation for all other options.
Gel polish is colour cured under a UV/LED lamp that lasts 2–3 weeks without chipping, keeping its first-day shine. Done on the natural nail.
A gel overlay strengthens the natural nail with gel — for nails that crack, peel or simply need reinforcement, keeping the natural look and the length you already have.
Extensions (tips) extend the nail — you choose the length and shape (almond, square, stiletto...) that natural nails can't give you.

How to Choose — Quick Guide
- A well-groomed natural look, no commitment → classic manicure.
- Colour that lasts for weeks, your nails are a good length → gel polish.
- Nails crack and peel, you want strength without extra length → gel overlay.
- You want length and shape → extensions.
How Long Each Option Lasts
- Classic manicure: recommended every 2–3 weeks.
- Gel polish: 2–3 weeks without chipping; removed only in the salon, never peeled off.
- Gel overlay: 3–4 weeks, then a refill or a new overlay as the nail grows.
- Extensions: refill every 3–4 weeks.
One rule for every gel option: removal is done by the technician, not you — peeling gel off takes the top layer of the natural nail with it, leaving nails looking damaged for months.
